Cool free models (.3ds or .X)

I'm sure you are always looking for good free models so I start this post to keep the links in a safe place.

Here is a Russian web site I found some days ago and that has pretty cool free models (beware : only low poly meshes are free!!!)

http://artblock.ru/html/downloadmodels.htm

If you have good links...don't hesitate.

Precision : the best will be to give links for 3ds or .x models that may be easily processed in blender and exported in .x format as this is our main work.

Only .3DS :/
Are the models animated ?
If yes : how to export an animated 3ds model to .x : I tried blender but it didn't work :/

Another good ressources website : http://www.turbosquid.com/

These are not mine

I used Blender with one of the mesh : imported as 3DS and exported as .X and it worked. But adding animations and exporting them is broken.
I haven't tried more but there may be problems as there is no 'perfect' .X exporter out there.

I think that the meshes are not animated.
The problem is always the same....good graphic art resources (and I don't even talk about .X) !

By the way if someone is interested in rewriting the Blender's python exporter for .X and make it work for Brume (just one button and perfect .X files with animations :D ) ....

O Use 3dsmax to open .3ds files and use the panda plguin to export .x file.
And Right.Hemisphere.Deep.Exploration is a good tool!

DAZ Productions just announced Bryce 5.5 free edition.

You can get it here : http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/0/-/?

There are also free models in their library (free registration required).
I haven't time to test it but there is a .x exporter.
