Capturing DirectX to movie

Postby Bartman on Mon Jun 25, 2007 7:55 am

Hi guys

Any suggestions on what would be a good (possibly free) tool to capture DirectX (Brume) output to a movie (e.g avi) so we can show our work ??

Thanx

I use Fraps to do it : limited to 30s.
Then I use Virtual Dub to compress

I used gamecam lite (http://www.planetgamecam.com/?locid=compare).

They have a free limited version (no audio recording). The registered version is only $10 so it's not too much.

There is also a pro version but I never tried it.

Hi

Fraps crashed my app when I started recording... but gamecam seems to work fine!

Thanks a lot!
